Well, the reason I haven't drawn anything in like a million years is because my laptop is completely and utterly broken.

It first started with some weird bug where any program that utilizes the internet would fail to work. When Firefox and IE updated, they stopped working. Because I also had a Mac, I could still access the internet and stuff.

I took it to Fry's, who did absolutely nothing and took 70 bucks. I swear the tech support there has some kind of mental illness. Well, they DID clean my keyboard, but they couldn't figure out what was wrong.

But however bad Fry's was, Best Buy was worse. I took my laptop to "Geek Squad" which is some kind of tech support company that's conjoined with Best Buy, like a siamese twin or a tumor. Anyway, they looked at my laptop and couldn't figure out what was wrong, but they put some kind of diagnostics disk in it. They left it in, and when I started my computer back up, it wouldn't even start up. At all. Yeah, Fry's did nothing for 70 bucks, but Best Buy broke it for free.

Anyway, Flash MX and Paint.net were on that laptop, and the only drawing program I can get for the laptop right now is some stupid Paint knock-off. That freezes constantly. Anyway, if anyone knows a good mac-friendly drawing program (preferably with vectors) that'd be great. I can't seem to find anything. (Also, this Mac doesn't have Intel either. Yeah, it's like a dead kid sitting a Special ED's seat.)

There's a decent vector drawing program for mac/linux/windows called Inkscape and it's free.
Is your old computer totally dead now or does it just not boot into windows? I mean, if it's just windows you could try running linux on it.

Okay, I'll try inkscape, thanks.

Actually I'm not sure exactly what's wrong with it. It boots up into a black screen with a blinking white line on it, so it looks like I might be able to type on it (but I can't).
:iconmazakala:
Do you get anything before the blinking cursor, a BIOS splash screen with manufacturer's logo and "press this and that for BIOS setup and boot menu"?

A blinking cursor doesn't mean it's dead. :)

Dude, JSRF is kickass, BTW.
Um, don't forget to try oekaki,
There's a few good websites on the web.
But didn't you say your net also didn't work?

Best of luck, and that sucks.

Actually, I took it to PC fort and they say it is very dead. Something wrong with the motherboard, but long story short it will cost a rediculous amount of cash to fix.

But before that, it just loaded from the diagnostics disk, which had a bunch of options to choose from, all of which didn't do anything.
:iconxartarin:
Oekaki? Maybe.

Yeah I never played JSRF but their music is probably the best video game music I've ever heard. It's what TWEWY music wants to be when it grows up.
:iconxartarin:
Wait, do you know any good Oekaki places? I tried getting into the KRR Oekaki some hundred years ago, but.. somehow I never got in.
:iconmazakala:
I see... I still think it might be possible to run linux from a live CD, I'm assuming that your CD-drive, RAM and processor still work to some extent (since the diagnostics disk worked...)
Not sure what good that would be since your motherboard is busted... But if it would be me I'd try it out, just to see what works and what doesn't

Now go play with your mac! :D

Hahah, oekaki is pretty good with a good program. xD

Haha, I've played once, but the music is pretty fun.
TWEWY... I wanna play it some time.
